Woman Arrested for Stealing Fire Vehicle from Toronto Fire Station

A 28-year-old woman got into Toronto Fire Station 227, stole a vehicle and led police on a short pursuit before being arrested.

Police arrested a woman after she stole a fire department vehicle, drove through a bay door and led police on a short pursuit Thursday. 

Melissa Stubbington, 28, was able to get into Toronto Fire Station 227 after 4 a.m. and start a vehicle, driving it through the bay door of the station before being caught three miles away. 

Police spotted the woman and fire vehicle and, after a short pursuit, took her into custody, according to Toronto City News.

Stubbington faces multiple charges, including breaking and entering, mischief and theft of a motor vehicle.
